Mark Spray - “Earthbound” by Michael

So, in effect, this energetic and acutely observant artist provides
both a broad overview and an intricate cross-section of a Cornish
Landscape that most of his contemporaries would miss, dismiss or
ignore as their eyes are drawn towards more conventional features
like carns, cliffs, coasts, field patterns and, of course ruined
engine houses.
Working in oil and mixed media that include granite fragments and allowing the
gritty paint to run and dribble, Mark Spray treats his viewers to an exposition
of the landscape that is as fresh and energetic as it is unique and deeply engaging.
