Where have i been?
Following a very busy first half of the year I found myself retreating into the studio. Since taking part in Open studio much time has been devoted to three concurrently running projects.
Rare Earth
The next collection of work which will be released is entitled Rare Earth. This collection of drawings is focused on the moorlands around my current home in West Penwith, Cornwall. Discussions are taking place and this looks set to be shown in September, more news as and when.
A Final Pilgrim
Following the two trips earlier in the year, the first to Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Northumberland and the second to Bardsey Island Ynys Enllis, Wales, time was needed to focus on the paintings from these trips and for them to reach a certain point before the next stage of the project could develop. The next two trips for this project are now in the diary and the anticipation is building, you will have to check back to see where this project takes me next........
Sky
The sky project is finding its place and developing gradually. I have no doubt this will see the light of day at the right time and when it is ready. If you have been to one of the Open Studio's you will have already seen a small selection of the finished works from this collection. The feed back so far has been tremendous and I have a feeling this collection will be quite something.
Workshops
Finally I often run workshops all over the country for Art Groups, Universities and Independent School. This summer I have been running drawing workshops at Studio 15 at Trewidden Stables, Penzance, Cornwall and out in the Cornish Landscape. A few places are still available for dates later this summer, have a look at the new section that has been added to the website Workshops for more information.
