2009 and the year ahead
I would like to thank everyone for the continued interest and support in 2009.
The year has been an interesting one with many developments along the way. Including a relocation of studio to Trewidden Stables, which has proved to be most fruitful in many respects. This past year has also seen the fourth major solo collection of work 'Weathering - Dartmoor Tors - Prometheus on his Crag' exhibited with The Great Atlantic Galleries. Alongside the first limited edition book, gathering the whole collection together in a wonderful format.
This year has also seen my work included in group shows and art fairs from Cornwall to Scotland, London, Hampshire, Dorset and more.
I have also made new links with the Floren Gallery who have been exhibiting a collection of Strata Paintings based on the jurassic coast, this continues until early 2010.
More recent development is the inclusion of work in the Campden Gallery - Winter Exhibition - I very pleased to be showing work with another prestigious Gallery.
Which bring us around to the subject of the year ahead. In early 2010 The Weathering collection will be having a London Showing at The Milton Gallery - St Paul's - in conjunction with The Great Atlantic Galleries. Opening on Wednesday 20th Jan, further details from The Great Atlantic Galleries.
The Sir Terry Frost Gallery - Kings - Worcester will see a solo collection of work opening 26th Feb until 24th March This will include The Plateau Collection alongside Strata work.
Later in the year will see a collection of Drawings based on the Penwith Moorlands - Rare Earth - this collection will be purely works on paper.
Further into the year should also see the long anticipated Sky Project - check back for details as they become available.
Trewidden Stables will again be participating in Open Studio - I believe all 15 studio's will be open, a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists in the environment where the works are created. 29th,30th,31st May also 5th, 6th June.
Towards the end of the year will see the collection A Final Pilgrim. Much will be written about this project in the coming months, with numerous trip's planned - again this has much promise!
I have no doubt works will also be seen in numerous group shows in 2010. All of which will be detailed on the website.
Thank you again for the continued interest and have a wonderful end to this year.
Updates on these and further developments in the new year.
Mark.
