Kinderscout
Kinder Scout didn't disappoint. Very cold trip, with a strong wild north wind. Making the assent up Grindsbrook a little uncomfortable.

Edale church - with the imposing plateau behind.

Lower section of Grindsbrook.

I have been up here many times - I always forget this is not simply a walk! In my twenty's I remember running up this section with water cascading down - now in my thirty's is was a gradual climb - will it be a crawl in my forty's?

The view was worth it. Then for the reason I had made this trip, onto the plateau.

This is another world - in November you have this place all to yourself.

The Grit stone and Peat plateau is an unforgiving environment, not a trip for the faint hearted.

Stopped drawing at the point where my fingers felt like they were about to drop off. I am planning a series of paintings and drawings from this trip, see how this works out back at the studio. If all comes together they will be included in the Worcester Exhibition in February.

Heading back to Cornwall.

Mark.
