See the music and hear the image
Many thoughts and developments within my work at this moment.
Preparations for the Weathering exhibition are moving forward.
The Strata paintings based on the Jurassic coast are moving at a pace, this has a speed that makes me feel as if i am standing still and watching the paintings grow. Disturbing, exciting, joyful and frightening all at the same time.
Tonight my mind is drawn back to the Under One Sky project (working title the 3rd or 4th so far, one will stick).
It is becoming increasing surprising how cyclical and linked all
my oeuvre is becoming. If you read the blurb about the I'll invite the poets project (bottom of the news page in About the work). The aim was to link the landscape poetry and painting hoping all start to function as one. To convey elements of one another which I felt had varying success.
The point, I am working with a composer for the under one sky project. This evening I have been watching a stunning documentary about Philip Glass, a film making collaborator of his made this quote and the resonance, well you will see.
'One should be able to see the music and hear the image' - Einstein.
